About
Theodore Armstrong, MD
I'm a board certified Emergency Medicine physician, with over 13 years of experience in the field. However, my interest in psychophysiologic disorders is personal. Several years ago, I developed chronic pain after a shoulder surgery. This was also during a very stressful time in my life for other personal and professional reasons, and long story short I developed chronic pain in my right shoulder which eventually spread to multiple other areas of my body. The symptoms became a major detriment to my quality of life, and were not responsive to normal treatments. I literally didn't feel like myself anymore. Realizing something unusual was going on, I eventually came across theories of mind-body medicine which I successfully used to diagnose and treat my own problems. Once virtually disabled, I am now back to an avid level of surfing and backpacking, and most importantly fully present and interactive with my family. I am passionate to share these newfound insights with patients, assisting them on their own healing journey.
